A Day in the Life

This massive industry has countless career options that all range in education requirements and work environments outside of the typical doctor or nurse in a hospital image you may be picturing. Healthcare work can be in a laboratory, nursing home, pharmacy, or places you might not expect, like an athletic field! There are many paths that don’t require a higher degree than a high school diploma or GED, although you typically still need some training and a certification, such as; phlebotomist, pharmacy technician, paramedic, or dental hygienist. You can also pursue a bachelor’s, master’s, or even doctorate in many of the healthcare fields including nursing, nutrition, audiology, and veterinary medicine. There are endless possibilities in the world of healthcare!
